“Power tools, you must.”
If Yoda came up to me and asked me where he could find some great deals on refurbished power tools to remodel his Dagobah hut, I would refer him to Cummins Tools. They have the best prices on the net (they consistently beat Froogle on refurbished tools) and their friendly customer service is impeccable: They sent me the wrong auxiliary grip for the Ridgid 3-pc Combo Kit I bought, and not only sent me the correct replacement within the week, but also sent me an unassembled grip for parts. How could you ask for more?
Oh, and careful there Yoda. You might first want to check to see if you need a building permit.

Ebay abounds with strange auctions. Today, I saw this Lego Statue of Liberty standing 40 inches tall in a jedi pose. Very strange indeed, but you could own it if you’re willing to big in excess of $610.

I always wanted to be an olympic winner, but hey, buying a gold medal off of ebay is just as good.
That’s right. There’s a 2000 Sydney Olympic Gold Medal on ebay. This one is for a good cause though. They’re raising money for Tsunami Relief. Current bidding is at $15,000 with a little over a day left.

Here is a secret Ebay tip for all you Ebay novices out there. While this may seem ethically questionable, this is how the pros do it, and I’m sure if you’ve ever sold anything on Ebay it has happened to you.
After you win an item on Ebay, contact the seller and have the shipping cost either waived or deducted at least 30% off of what the shipping cost was advertised. You need to realize that all sellers greatly inflate the shipping price for added profit. If they happen to reply stating that you should have read the auction description before bidding and refuse your offer, tell them you are aware of how much it would cost to send the item, and refuse to pay unless the seller cuts the shipping down to a price you think is fair. For more expensive items such as car audio and digital cameras, always try to have the shipping waived. Remember, your option to leave negative feedback is your leverage, but most importantly try to create a win/ win situation for both parties.
This has worked for me on virtually every purchase I have made, and I have over 300 positive feedbacks with no negatives. Best of luck, and stay tuned until the next Ebay Tip!

Get a free sample of my favorite shampoo Garnier Fructis.
What can I say, I fell victim to another glitzy advertising campaign. Remember all those flashy, loud ads they played in front of movies. I couldn’t stop myself when I saw it in the supermarket.

So, stop by and see what deal they’re running. Today they have an Omnifi DMP1 20GB Car Media Jukebox for $139.99 plus $5 shipping.
From their FAQ:
What is woot and who’s behind it?
woot.com is an online store and community run by the employees of a 10 year old consumer electronics distributor that focuses on close-outs and generally buying stuff cheap. Since the distributor doesn’t sell to end users, Woot, Inc provides us with an employee-store slash market-testing type of place. Hopefully the boss won’t take notice. We anticipate profitability by 2043 — by then we should be retired; someone smarter might take over and jack up the prices.
