Bottle Rocket Screenplay

Very cool. I found this by accident. It’s the original Bottle Rocket screenplay.

There’s some great stuff that didn’t make the final movie like a scene about women who like tabasco sauce, how Bob isn’t allowed to drive his parents’ cars, and this:

DIGNAN: So who’s going to know?
BOB: My brother.
ANTHONY: Future Man.
BOB: Who?
ANTHONY: Futute Man. You know. Cause he looks like he’s from the future.

or this

ANTHONY (to Bob): In fifth grade Dignan used to wear cowboy boots for P.E.

Bad Microsoft, Bad

Microsoft’s latest attempt to patent an “IsNot” operator has sparked discussion on Slashdot.

Isn’t this like trying to patent + or = functions? Will lawmakers finally admit that patent laws are broken and need fixing? I doubt it.

Sony Broke Again

Apparently, there’s a recall on some early PSP’s (via Joystiq). I would like to say this is the death of the PSP, but I seriously doubt it. Seems like I remember the PS2 having problems with its DVD drive when it first came out. Sony, again?

To their credit, Sony does usually fix these problems.

Quackshmack

The boys at Ponekeys have a new clip up, Quackshmack.

Quackshmack has struck again, this time vandalizing the Herscher household while Scott slept like a baby. Looks like young Scott’s gonna catch it hot if he doesn’t have the place cleaned up before the fam gets back in town. Watch the video to see the devastastion unfold!

Too bad there’s no quicktime version, but still funny as hell.

Nissan Z Mustang?

Mustang vs. Nissan Z; what's the difference?

I’m confused which is the Nissan Z and which is the Ford Mustang?

Oh, hell, as Joshua from War Games says, “What’s the difference?”

Ch-ch-changes

Expect to see some major changes in the next couple of days.

1) New Custom Look
2) New Domain Name
3) New/More Bloggers - axed the idea, I’m going to try blogging it, a man alone.

Why the changes? Simple, our readership has grown expotentially and we feel the only way to continue our incredible growth is by growing the site too. (how’s that for cheesy PR speak?) Actually, I just thought it would be fun.

NES Back Home

Several years ago, I lent my original NES to a high school friend… Only to never see him again. Recently, my wife wished to challenge me in Jeopardy, and the only system that we found a version for was the 8-bit NES. So I set out to buy one.

After finding some resonable deals online ($35 + $15 shipping), we decided to check the local flea market. We found one there and ended up buying it for $60. Not exactly a steal, but there was a certain convenience factor.

I went home, hooked it up, and found myself blowing into cartridges again. I hadn’t lost my touch either. After a few tries, I went from gibberish on the screen to actual gameplay. I played two games Jeopardy and Jaws. I have to say, I’ve been really enjoying Jaws. I plan to try Golgo 13 next.

All in all, it feels good to have a NES in the house again.

Mario Kart Arcade

It looks like Mario Kart is going to the arcade. Complete with four players at a time, and it will snap a picture of you to show over your cart. Plus, you can save data on a memory card.

I’m not a big arcade person, but it would be cool if they had one of these at the theater. Sounds like a good game to play while you wait.

Constantine

I saw Constantine tonight. Hmmm… I liked it.

It wasn’t a great movie, but it was one of those movies that if it came on cable you would watch the whole thing and not feel bad about it. The visuals were nice, and it was somewhat comicbook-esque (supposedly based off of a DC comic).

Fox’s House MD (WTF!)

I just read this today in the TV-TV forum.

This is a crock. Fox bought a pilot for a TV show about a grown up Doogie Howser. It received luke warm response from a young screening audience who had never seen the original series. So, Fox decided to make changes that their surveys requested. Mainly, an edgier, more in-your-face main character (think CSI Miami’s David Caruso). The end result is Fox’s new show House MD. They originally tried pushing for the title “Howser MD”, but Micheal Verns, president of the Official Doogie Howser MD Fan Club and member since 1989, launched a succesful internet campaign to stop them. Fox caved and changed the name to House MD. No need to describe the end result.

What? I saw a sample of the original script. It looked promising. Apparently, Doogie’s childhood friend Vinnie struck it rich during the Dot Com boom only to loose it all. He’s now living over Doogie’s garage unable to get another job. Doogie is married and has two kids but fails to connect with them. He insists that when he was their age he was doing much better things with his time.

Hi, my name is Nicholas Roussos. This is my first post. I’m just another web designer, and this is just another blog.

A Brief History of My Work

Some Other Sites I have worked on

  • RealWebWonders - a freelance business I started. I only had one customer and decided it wasn’t for me. I keep the site as a portfolio piece.
  • The Rally Point - a collaborative effort with some BUDS; it’s no longer on the web though.
  • Cynthia Eden, my fav romance writer

Update: I fixed some things that were out of date.
