Pastitsio has got to be in my top 10 favorite dishes of all time.
The mother of one of my BUDS asks me for a pastitsio recipe everytime I see her. Of course, I always forget to get one. Well, I found a pastitsio recipe online at epicurious, who claims to be the world’s greatest recipe collection.

I wonder if my grandmother would be willing to put her pastitsio recipe on my blog. I’ll have to ask.

Rumored Nintendo Revolution mockup
I have yet to see an anonomous rumor like this prove to be true, but supposedly this is a mock-up for the new Nintendo. Well, we’ll see, we’ll see. via Engadget
Actually, the line drawings look much more authentic.

I thought I would share some great fencing photos that I found a while back. The photographer made a device that snaps the pic when the scoring box goes off. Basically, when one fencer touches the other, the camera takes a picture.
Here are two of my favs:
- Attack. Touche. - Check out how his off-hand is flexed and the look in his face. That’s athletic focus.
- Attack, no. Counter attack. - A classic example of a passato sota (or a duck). This is a hard move to pull off, just look at all the pics of the failed ones in this galley.

Google has a new movie search engine that is awesome. Just type movie: in the search box to get a list of movies in your area.
Or you can movie: movie title to get reviews for that movie (or an actor or a genre). Here’s a list of the best rated horror movies. via InsideGoogle
Oh and the offical Google Blog has an announcement on this too.

One of my BUDS was asking about Google’s Cafeteria. To my astonishment (since this is kinda old news), there wasn’t a good source of info on it. Here’s what I could find:
Here’s what I know: Googleteria is a free cafeteria for all google employees, their families, and any of their guests. It has gourmet food.
I’m going to try to get a response from the official Google Blog. I’ll update this post if I find anything out.

Interesting post over at InsideGoogle. Can you imagine a Google Calendar that will show you everything that is happening in the world on a particular day? Me neither, but I’m sure it would be cool.

One of my BUDS is an avid user of AllofMP3.com. He (and me too) was under the impression that it was completely legit. Well, it looks like that might not be so. Cnet has the story. via Slashdot

Look’s like I’ll be going to the Rose Condon Memorial Tournament afterall. For those of you who don’t know, it’s a fencing competition. I’ll be driving up Saturday and back on Sunday night. Wish me luck.

Jason Kottke of Kottke.org has decided to quit his job and blog full time (for the next year at least). Why? Because he likes blogging or something to that effect. He’s soliciting donations public radio style.
Anyway, I can completely understand where he is coming from. My dream is just that, to quit my job and… Well, do nothing. Sure, he’s actually going to make blogging his full time job. But me I just want to do nothing.
How would I make money? That’s the point. I don’t want to do anything that requires me to make a living, so to speak. I guess I’d rather just do the living part (leave the making part to others).

Very cool. I found this by accident. It’s the original Bottle Rocket screenplay.
There’s some great stuff that didn’t make the final movie like a scene about women who like tabasco sauce, how Bob isn’t allowed to drive his parents’ cars, and this:
DIGNAN: So who’s going to know?
BOB: My brother.
ANTHONY: Future Man.
BOB: Who?
ANTHONY: Futute Man. You know. Cause he looks like he’s from the future.
or this
ANTHONY (to Bob): In fifth grade Dignan used to wear cowboy boots for P.E.

Microsoft’s latest attempt to patent an “IsNot” operator has sparked discussion on Slashdot.
Isn’t this like trying to patent + or = functions? Will lawmakers finally admit that patent laws are broken and need fixing? I doubt it.

Apparently, there’s a recall on some early PSP’s (via Joystiq). I would like to say this is the death of the PSP, but I seriously doubt it. Seems like I remember the PS2 having problems with its DVD drive when it first came out. Sony, again?
To their credit, Sony does usually fix these problems.
