At first glance, it might be easy to pass this five-piece rock group off as yet another passe band from Sweden. But you’d be wrong. Dead wrong, kid. Cause these lads bring enough to the table to get excited about.

Mando Diao is like a rock n’ roll voltron. They’ve got the the sounds and attitude of The Libertines, the energy of Supergrass, hooks of The Kinks, and with guitarists/vocalists Gustaf Noren and Bjorn Dixgard, the stolen vocals of the younger versions of Gaz Coombes and Noel Gallagher. With narcissistic lyrics like, “She ain’t as beautiful as me, but she’s as beautiful as she can be”, how can you not dig this band?

‘God Knows’, the second track off their latest album, ‘Hurricane Bar’, is a true rock n’ roll anthem. These guys are all about melody and harmony and it pans out perfect here.
